Delete in the app

  1. Open Kinder and sign in.
  2. Open Profile, then App Settings.
  3. Select Delete account.
  4. Read the confirmation and confirm deletion.

Confirming deletion removes the active account and signs you out.

If you cannot open the app

Email support@kinderapp.co.uk from an address you can access. Include the telephone number registered to Kinder. We will ask you to verify control of that number before starting deletion. Do not send passwords or verification codes by email.

Data affected

Deletion removes your phone number, name, profile image, password and sign-in credentials from the active account, and signs you out. Verification records, connections, Group memberships, notifications, device push tokens and messages you sent are removed. An account record with a replacement identifier and some Terms acceptance and onboarding records remains. Children added by your account are retired, so child names and historical links can remain. Groups you own can transfer to another approved member or be retired. Other authorised participants may keep past childcare records, including past Personal events; account deletion does not automatically erase that history.

By default, operational/security logs and service backups are retained for up to 30 days, while safety reports and necessary evidence may be retained for up to 12 months after resolution. A longer period is used only where needed for a live safety, legal or law-enforcement matter. The schedule is described in the privacy policy.

Data on your device

After successful deletion, Kinder clears stored sign-in credentials and pending feedback on that device. Saved Calendar data and older local Personal events can remain in the app’s local storage. Use your device’s app-data removal controls to clear those local copies. Clearing local app data does not erase records held by the Kinder service or your calendar provider.

Device calendar copies

Events you chose to copy to Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or another device calendar are stored by that calendar provider. Deleting Kinder does not remove those external copies; delete them in your calendar app if you no longer want them.
