Questions about Kinder
Who is Kinder for?
Kinder is for parents, guardians and trusted adults who coordinate care with people they already know. Children do not create accounts or use Kinder independently.
What do I need to get started?
To use Kinder, you can start with just your phone number. Then connect privately with people you know and invite parents, guardians, family or friends into your circles. The beta-access request form separately asks how to contact you.
Is Kinder a public childcare marketplace?
No. Kinder does not match families with unknown childcare providers or check whether someone is suitable to care for a child. It helps you organise plans with your own Contacts and private Groups.
What is the difference between an Invite and a Request?
An Invite brings people together for a playdate, birthday party or activity. A Request asks your trusted Contacts or Groups for childcare help. A Personal event lets you add your own plans to the Calendar.
Can another adult help manage my child's plans?
Yes, through an accepted child relationship. A Guardian can view and amend confirmed events; a Trusted adult can propose care with limited access. The primary administrator manages the child's profile and other adults.
Do I have to connect my phone's calendar?
No. The Calendar inside Kinder works without device-calendar access. If you choose calendar integration, accepted plans can be copied to your device calendar. Those external copies are managed by your calendar provider.
Can I download Kinder now?
Kinder is in internal testing. External beta places are not open yet, and there are no public App Store or Google Play links. You can request beta access below; a place and an opening date are not guaranteed.
What happens when I request beta access?
Your name, email address and preferred device are sent to Kinder Support through FormSubmit. We aim to reply within five working days and contact you when beta places become available. A place and opening date are not guaranteed. See the privacy policy for the form provider and retention details.
How do I get help or delete my account?
Visit Support for help with the app, or follow the account deletion guidance. The privacy policy explains what deletion removes and what records or local copies can remain.
